Clark Catch-Up

It was really special to see dad & Sasha again... well, we'd 'just' seen dad in Taipei for Christmas 2008... but we hadn't seen Sasha for almost 2.5 years! The kids warmed up well and we all enjoyed our mini-reunion especially because we knew we'd be seeing each other again so soon...

Takapuna Beach

Helena woos Auntie Sasha for the first time despite sleep deprivation.

I think Auntie Sasha's animals gave her a pretty good platform of introduction... the kids were pretty stoked to see real goats and horses and cats and dogs...

and last time Grandad held Helena she was just 5 months old... a lot has changed, eh!?

Our New Year's Day feast consisted of the kiwi staple - roast lamb with all the fixin's! Dad does a great roast and the two of them really spoiled us with a fine meal and heaps of prezzies & things for camping.

We spent the first weekend in town at their place outside of Albany... Sasha's got a lifestyle block for all her animals. Helena put on a brave face toward the horse, until...

the horse returned the sentiment... how funny is that!

Hunter enjoyed helping Auntie feed the animals... until the goats butted him... yikes!

On our way home from the camping adventure we stopped in to have dinner with some of Tony's relatives. Cousin Matthew & Cheryl have just had a new addition - baby Sally who is only 3 weeks old! Elizabeth is just a bit older than Helena, so it was fun to meet them.

Cousin Adam & Jo were just getting married last time we were in town... now they've got Eden who's about 6 weeks older than Helena and another little one due next week!

Thanks Uncle Graham for helping arrange the reunion... it was fun to catch up!
