Life as an ex-pat is full of good-byes... if it's not your friends leaving, it's you leaving your friends... it's just the way it goes. In two weeks, two of my close friends will be leaving and our playgroup will not be the same (nor will our lives here, really). So to celebrate Heather & Marise and their next phase of life we had a playgroup "morning tea" - although none of us even drank tea (but we did eat our fair share of other goodies)!! I wanted to add a little twist so I asked everyone to wear an "Anne of Green Gables" style accessory - well, it made for a good photo because let's face it - it's pretty tough to wear hats or "fancy" accessories when you're running after a toddler!!!
There were several other friends and visitors but by the time we got organized to take the photo this is who remained! It's kind of cool though, because God is beginning to bring around some new women and kids... so the show will go on... it'll just be a different cast!
However, I will really miss these two (Heather with the two on her lap, Marise in the blue) - we all will!
