General September

We've got our photos organized into folders in the computer - most have specific dates and event titles, but for every month there's a "general" folder where we store all the general happenings of that month (easy to follow system, eh?). So here's a bit of the "general" from last month:

One afternoon, the kids and I met up with Auntie Lynette - I always love meeting up with her because her kids are already grown up (high schoolers consider themselves grown up, shouldn't we?!?) and we get to a) we usually get to finish a conversation and b) she can help run after Hunter without having to worry about her own kids. Plus, I always just feel so encouraged after spending a bit of time around her. Anyway - this day we caught up from our big summers in the States over a 7-11 lunch... As I'm 'fininshing' my conversation to one side, Hunter is finishing his sister's yogurt on the other side... cheeky, cheeky.

These are just to pass the time while we waited for the light to change green... it was a long wait but thankfully I found some shade...

I just want to kiss those little cheeks!

And those eyelashes are still a knock-out feature!!

Christine & Marlee hosted our "end of summer" playgroup party earlier in the month... what a blast to play at a house with a perfect sized pool and real grass!!! Thanks, Christine for the beautiful spread (she really goes all out!!!) and the great fun!!!

Hunter and Marlee were two peas in a pod in that little pool - Michael on the other hand wasn't as easily convinced.

Hilo

Helena's such a girl... already attracted to the shoes!

Samuel and Hunter took turns riding the big bike around the sidewalk then took to the grass... I was impressed with Hunter's steering ability in the limited space available... more and more we're thinking about getting him his own bike when he turns 3!!!

Slumber party buddies... this was the familiar morning sight while Raewyn & Nathan were here and these two were sharing Hunter's room... when I came in they were looking at the animals on the wardrobe... Hunter was pointing them out to mei-mei... they are just so cute!

And cheeky, have I mentioned how cheeky they are lately!?! I've been telling them not to play in the curtains... and Hunter's had his share of spankings, but this time I quietly crept in and caught them in the act before they realized I was there taking photos. Heaven forbid they think I condone curtain play, but the artistic side of me thought this just looked kinda cool.

We had a farewell party at the Director's residence to say good-bye to Felicity - a short-term reliever in Tony's office. She got into the culture big time, so this is what she wanted - a dumpling making party. We got to stuff our own dumplings... it was fun and tasty...

but I must admit, the Kiwi's cut out early on the making part and enjoyed more of the eating... thanks to the local staff there was plenty for everyone! Actually - it was a really fun way of having dinner with local friends... I may have to tuck that one away for when we get back to NZ.

Fun pictures! I love the one of their little feet poking out of the curtain. I'm glad you risked condoning misbehavior for the sake of art (and the blog).
