Livin' It Up With Livi!!!

Over the past 8 months we've had the best time livin' it up with Livi! When she arrived in Taipei the week before Hunter was born, I knew we'd hit it off, but I never would've guessed how well! So after sharing our home and our hearts, she's left us for Japan... it will be a great experience for her, though we are missing her already! Thanks, Livi, for being part of our family!!!

We had an 'official' farewell Mexican fiesta with a few close friends a couple weekends before the final farewell.

Because she's such an efficient employee, she was finished with work early and we got to spend all day Friday together too. We took Hunter for a walk to Sun Yet Sen Memorial Hall and she finally had her opportunity to go inside the memorial hall...

After Hunter's nap, we jumped in a cab and headed toward Maokong. We had hoped to make it for a walk through the zoo as well, but the gondola ride was a first for the little man & me and it was just enough time to be out and about before she had to meet other friends for dinner. It's such a fun ride up the mountain... and a beautiful view of lush, green trees! Hard to believe we're so close to the city!!!

Saturday afternoon we had some quality "family time" which included some badminton in the park and a little stop at Ice Monster. We would've done a few other things, but the little man was unusually grumpy so... back home we went. Still, we had fun just hangin'!

Sunday morning we went for a little outing to the Dragon Boat Festival... Livi ran while Hunter & I rode the bike. Great cultural experience, though extremely hot so we didn't last too long. Plus we had to get ready for her last day at Torch Church.

This was it... Monday - the dreaded (for us) day. Thankfully she made it through with all her luggage!

And thankfully Elana and Rachi drove us to the airport! I think this made the good-bye a little less teary (from my end anyway) with a bit of conversation on the way home. What a blessing, though, to have friends willing to take time off work to do an airport drop-off!

Alright, little sis... have fun in Japan!!!
