It was great to finally introduce Hunter to his "Granddad". Dad met us for one evening in Wellington the first week we were in NZ, then we spent 5 nights at his place in Hamilton later in our trip. Dad seemed to really enjoy Hunter despite the middle of the night wake ups and I know Hunter will have fun when he's a bit bigger as Granddad will probably be the one to feed him all the biscuits and goodies he wants!

The Perfect Day Out
Our last day in Wellington was a stunning one spent with good friends enjoying the winter beauty of New Zealand beaches. The Camerons took us for a drive to one of their favourite "day off" desitinations... it was such a gorgeous day... one of those days you're really thankful you're a Kiwi!
Daddy teaching Hunter how to hunt ducks
Hunter & Will... well behaved little guys chillin' in the back seat
What did I tell you... stunning winter day!
Southern Hospitality
Our time in Christchurch really felt like a holiday thanks to the good ole hospitality of Justine & Lucas Anstiss!!! They really know how to make us feel at ease and comfortable! While in Christchurch we visited Tony's relatives, checked out Arise Church, slept in, ate delicious meals, experienced a creative life group evening... Tony even got out for a game of golf and a day of snowboarding!!! It was a beautiful week and we felt totally relaxed...
Little Liberty did a great job of sharing her toys and looking after Hunter. She's expecting a baby brother to arrive anyday now, so we think Hunter was good practice.
The two crews... we had to settle for the traditional Anstiss/Clark pancake breakfast for dinner since the Clark side of the equation kept sleeping in...

Timaru Road Trip
On a sunny Saturday we met up with the Dunedin branch of the Anstiss family in Timaru for a little catch up over pizza and hot chips. It was a spectacularly beautiful day... another one of those days you're thankful you're a Kiwi.

Do You Remember This Kid's Rhyme?
Is that Barista or Barrister?
Tony's dad is pretty cool... in the past few months he's graduated from Law school and passed his professional exams at age 62!!! Thankfully we were in town for his "Admittance to the Bar" ceremony... we'd have been gutted to miss him in the wig!!! What a huge accomplishment - we are all very proud of him!
Dad thought he was off the hook when the ceremony went longer than scheduled - but oh no... he still had to say a few words! I guess future lawyers have to get used to that!

Besides the grand first introductions to Tony's dad and sister, we've met up with more of the Clarks in the past 3 weeks than we have over the past 5 years! It was good timing to introduce the newest addition to the family.
Whenever we're in the South Island we meet up with Uncle Alistair and his family. This time was especially fun because we could speak Chinese with his wife, Jenny. I think she thought that was pretty cool.that was quite special to spend some time with them.
Hunter is named after her husband so it was a really special introduction.

Tony's cousin Adam's wedding was the venue for the North Island reunion... it was a lovely ceremony and a good time to touch base with some folks I haven't even met before
Day at the Farm
Get Your Motor Runnin'...
We had a lovely lunch with Karlabelle & Aaron at their new house in Brown's Bay... what a great place to live. Tony dared to ask Aaron for a ride on his motorbike... and Aaron dared to agree! What a rush!!! Tony came back all fired up... we may have to work up to such power... maybe we'll start with a scooter here in Taipei!

Makin' Friends
Much of our trip was spent visiting with friends and family... so of course Hunter made all sorts of new friends and he'll have all sorts of fun to look forward to!
Tony's sister Denise came over from Waiheke for a few hours - now that's the draw of a baby! It was great to see her and Brooklyn again.
We'll have all sorts of fun with his cousin Brooklyn who lives out at Waiheke Island
Tyler will teach him how to dance at church
Chewing fingers is a sign he feels comfortable with someone!
Nanni Bev loved her cuddles
Now this is service with a smile from Olivia!

Once Hannah & Hunter get a bit older we may have to talk about boundaries...
